It’s my first time to visit Baguio. I know it’s ridiculous. I live here in the Philippines most of my life and have not set foot at the summer capital. So, when this opportunity came, I was very excited. Since flowers make my heart skip, I wanted to visit a flower farm. Instead, we found something grand – Rose terraces.
Bahong, La Trinidad Benguet is the rose capital of the Philippines. It is not in the “must go to list” when in Baguio. But I absolutely think it’s worth wearing your hiking shoes. You don’t only get to see the flowers in terraces, you can actually meet the ones who grow them.
How to get there? We drove and asked directions. You can also take a taxi from city proper of Baguio. Public transportation also passes by the entrance of barangay Bahong. It’s near the strawberry farm and camp Dangwa. If you drive, pls take note that the road going down can only accommodate one vehicle. You might want to park when you reach barangay Bahong and travel by foot down to the Roses.
